Project Name: Improving access to justice for the victims of sexual crimes in Georgia
Dates: 15.04.2021- 30.04.2022
The aim of the project is to ensure access to justice for victims of sexual violence in Georgia.
The project defines four goals:
- Raise the knowledge and awareness of police, prosecutors and lawyers about sexual offenses;
- Ensuring access to justice for women and girls victims of sexual and gender-based violence;
- Raising public awareness on sexual crimes;
- Advocate for Legislative Amendments on Sexual Offenses;
The target groups of this project are officials, police, prosecutors and lawyers, who are the main figures in the criminal process when violence occurs, the victims e.g. Women and girls, the general public as well as politicians.
