As you know, on June 17, the Ivanishvili-Kuprashvili Bureau began enforcing unconstitutional Russian laws through the Murusidze court. They are demanding, without any legal basis, that we — as human rights defenders — hand over the personal information of citizens under our protection, specifically women and children who are victims of violence. This includes the personal identification numbers, names, surnames, photographs, financial and banking information, and medical data of individuals who trusted us and benefited from our assistance.
Sapari will not betray the trust of the citizens under our protection, even if this results in persecution and imprisonment for us.
We are pursuing legal remedies against these orders. As you are already aware, Sapari has filed an appeal with the Court of Appeals requesting the annulment of the City Court’s order; however, our request was refused.
Today, on July 3, Sapari sent the Bureau its official response, which includes the publicly known address of our website, where detailed information about Sapari’s activities, team, projects, donors, financial reports, research, and campaigns is likewise publicly available.
