On August 11, Sapari received a letter from Razhden Kuprashvili’s bureau, dated August 8, in which the bureau requested additional information and “explanations” from Sapari regarding the Foreign Agents Registration Act.
Sapari responded to Kuprashvili’s bureau and reminded them that the letter and the procedures it demanded are unlawful, that the mentioned law does not apply to the organization, and that the “inspection” defined unilaterally by the bureau lacks any legal basis.
We also emphasized that our work is the protection of human rights, and we act in accordance with the Constitution and legislation of Georgia.
