The project “Feminist Dialogue between Generations” – in the international context

A meeting of Georgian, Ukrainian and German women’s foundations was held in Kyiv on November 24-25. The foundations carried out the project “Feminist Dialogue Between Generations” in collaboration.

The representatives of NGOs and Funds of all three countries discussed the lack of communication between different generations of feminists and the ways of their rapprochement.

The meeting was attended by the representatives of the Young Feminist Initiative Group, Women’s Information Center (WIC) and “Sapari”.

Sapari presented a project “Intergenerational Dialogue between Feminists”. Within the framework of the project a conference was held and the “Feminist Dialogue” was published.

Mari Kurtanidze, a lawyer of “Sapari”, conference participant: “The feminists of different generations from Ukraine, Germany and Georgia presented the initiatives and projects designed to deepen feminist dialogue, discuss existing barriers and ways of their removal. It proved to be a very interesting conference.  The meeting with feminists of different generations gave us the opportunity to share experiences and inspirations for new ideas and initiatives with each other. Hence, it turned out to be not only an intergenerational but also an intercultural dialogue. “
